What's the difference between you and the Mobile Virtual Network Operators?

Golan Telecom is being built as a Full and complete Mobile Network Operator with its own communications infrastructure, technology, Information systems, and independent service support. A virtual operator buys airtime from a Mobile Network Operator and resells it to its customers under his brand. The significance of being a full and complete network operator is that Golan Telecom can provide state of the art mobile communications services at the best prices.

How much does a SIM card cost?

One-time payment of NIS 19 * which is charged when you purchase. An invoice for this payment will be waiting for you within a few days on your personal page on the site. Please note that each sim card is charged separately.

How do i update my Contact or Credit Card information?

Just go to your Subscriber 's Account ("My Account"). Here are the steps to follow:
- Please Go to www.golantelecom.co.il and click on "my account"
- Login using your username (customer number on website) and password (you received those by email following your registration)
- Click  on "Update details"

How do i find and print the General Terms of Sale (GTS)?

If you wish to read and / or print the General Terms of Sale, you simply go to your subscriber account ("My Account").

Here are the steps to follow:
- Please Go to www.golantelecom.co.il and click on "my account"

- Login using your username (customer number on website) and password (you received those by email following your registration).

- You have reached the correct page the General Terms of Sale (GTS) is enclosed. In accordance with current regulation, this document is in Hebrew.

Can I use my handset abroad? In which countries? What are the tariffs?

Yes, Golan Telecom offers you roaming services in about 200 countries abroad at very attractive tariffs.

Please note that coverage in Cyprus is available only to 3G/UMTS handset and above 2G/GSM handsets do not support these services

*2G handsets (GSM only) that are operational in Israel are disabled in the USA because of spectrum incompatibility.

Due to the time zone difference between Israel and the country in which you are present, cgarges for the surfing plan may be considered as an extra day or vis versa.

Since the tariffs abroad are dictated by the foreign Carriers and depend on the foreign exchange rate and incoming call is also be charged, this is a relatively expensive service and it is important to manage it wisely. In your Personal Zone "my account" you can manage this service and save on your expenses

Following are the steps to access the Services Page that will allow you to block/open internet and voice services:

  • Enter our website www.golantelecom.co.il
  • Select My Account (upper left)
  • In the LOGIN screen enter your identification: Customer account number and your password that were e-mailed to you upon registration.
  • Select "my lines" tab
  • Click on the"setting & changes" next to the line you want to update services for.
  • You have reached the relevant page! You may now activate or block services as you wish.

A few tips for wise usage while abroad:

  • Tariffs may change from time to time (because of the local Carriers' pricing and rate of exchange fluctuations). We therefore recommend that you get updated regarding the tariffs upon embarking abroad.
  • We recommend that you block the automatic internet access while abroad. SmartPhones have applications and programs that automatically synchronize your phone or access the internet You will be charged for cellular internet access which is very costly and that's a pity. Therefore we recommend that you block the automatic cellular internet access prior to embarking aboroad :-. To enter the Services Page and to block internet access abroad follow the steps appearing above.
  • In order to access the internet abroad at no charge it is recommended to use Hot Spots (WiFi).  Don't forget to block the internet access abroad since if you use it, you will be charged at very high tariffs :-).
  • Internet access is normally blocked as default in iPhone and Android SmartPhones . You should verify that your handset is blocked prior to your departure abroad.
